55 grams cacao butter
80 grams raw cacao powder
2-4 tablespoons agave syrup or maple syrup
That’s the basic recipe.
You can add any number of flavourings such as:
Grated orange rind, chopped nuts/dried fruit,food grade essential oils such as peppermint, orange, ginger, vanilla essence, cayenne pepper powder.
Chop the cacao butter into small pieces and place in a bowl over hot water. Allow to melt slowly until liquid.
Mix in the sweetener with a hand whisk until well blended.
Slowly add the cacao powder, whisking until the mixture is smooth.
Taste and add more sweetener if wanted.
Mix in your chosen flavourings if wanted.
Pour into chocolate moulds and set in the fridge.

Essential oils : These must be “food grade” if you are going to add them to foods. Food grade oils have been distilled without using solvents.
